Sony has just officially announced the new Sony FE 50mm F1.2 GM Lens (G Master). It is an ultra-fast premium full-frame lens, featuring the same size and weight as the Sony/Zeiss 50mm F1.4 and using three special ‘extreme aspherical’ elements and a Nano AR II coating and an 11-blade aperture. The lens can focus as closely as 40cm (15.6″) and has a max magnification of 0.17x. This new lens costs $1,998, first available for pre-order at B&H/ Adorama/ Amazon.
